Conditioning

Regularly treating your leather helps it stay soft, nourished, and resilient. Use a conditioner or impregnation product suitable for smooth or vegetable-tanned leather, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

How often you condition depends on use and climate. Generally, a few times per year is enough for most pieces. Conditioning helps maintain the color, restore the surface after minor wear, and prevent the leather from drying out or becoming brittle over time.

For suede, avoid traditional conditioners. Instead, use products specifically designed for suede care to preserve its texture and color.

Storage

Store your items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to light may affect the color, causing it to fade unevenly. When not in use, keep your leather pieces out of direct sunlight to preserve their appearance and allow them to age gracefully. Avoid folding or compressing them for long periods.

Character

Each item carries its own character. The natural marks, textures, and variations in leather are not flaws — they are part of the story of your bag, wallet, or accessory. Vegetable-tanned leather, in particular, develops a unique patina over time, darkening and softening in a way that is entirely individual. With proper care, your leather piece will age beautifully and accompany you for years.
